How To Sleep Better

Many of us go through our waking lives in a dream state, feeling tiered Wishing we had had more sleep.

I was in a meditation class recently and many of us were asleep as soon as we started to relax. Our teacher explained this saying many of us not getting enough rest and that this is why we are feeling tiered and exhausted all the time.

On the other hand there are those of us who are insomniacs and get very sleep if any at night and feel exhausted all Day.

If you are in either category outlined above the tips below should help get more sleep and stop you feeling tiered all the time

1)Remember that your bedroom is for sleeping so if your Room is full of computers or radios and TV’s consider building a sacred sleeping space for you where sleep is the priority. Remove all the sound and picture equipment and dedicate the space to sleeping.

2)Our minds can rest better when we are in a de-cluttered room so consider getting rid of any junk and clutter that’s lying around the place. Anything that’s not essential should be removed.

3)An old or uncomfortable mattress can leave you feeling tiered and exhausted so it’s really important to choose the right one. When you go to the shop to buy your mattress spend at least 15 minutes lying on the mattress to make sure our comfortable with it. If you are a back sleeper you should choose a firmer mattress and a slightly softer mattress is good for those side sleepers

4)Remember to keep the same sleep routine in order to avoid feel less tiered during the Day. If you go to bed at the same time and wake at the same time every day your body gets into a rhythm like when you were a baby and you should feel less tiered.

5)If you read before you go to bed avoid reading material like fiction that will stimulate your mind and keep it busy. Instead read about things like philosophy or spirituality that will help you relax.
